Ms.Walzak’s Grade 3 Class is kicking off the 2020-2021 school year with a Harry Potter classroom.  Students have been sorted into Hogwarts House Teams and have been enjoying the benefits of working together to earn House Points. They particularly thought the Hogwarts Store was quite a “treat”, as they got to try such magical goodies as licorice wands, lemon drops or Bertie Botts all-flavor jelly beans. Last week, they headed down to the regional park for the afternoon to collect small dead sticks that would make a suitable wand….to be decorated and customized this week. So, if you see any of these students out and about be sure to ask them what Hogwarts House they are in and how their wands turned out. But definitely don’t ask them about the talking sorting hat (it’s a secret).
